16 days to go!

Firstly, I apologise for the lack of blog so far, preparations have been full steam ahead and like a diet in February, the blog was swiftly forgotten about before it even started. This marks the feisty return of our blogging debut and a concerted effort to document our journey, whilst I practice the fine art of story telling (those who know me will know all well this is a skill much desired).

Since the days of no turning back, the cards have been turning favourably our way. Even after putting on a brave face in my last blog post, the trip was looking less and less likely as the months rolled through the winter, and our best poker faces were truly tested by ever excited friends and family. But in our struggles, creativity and drive for success strived, giving hope to a world record attempt yet.

As spring rolled in and the birds chirped a chorus, we came out the other side sporting a handful of great new sponsors, an excellent mentor and a world class tandem. Not a bad haul for Christmas aye?  These testing times are sure to be nothing compared to life on the road, still, they were enough to make my poor little bum squeak on occasion.

With just 16 days left before we leave, the last bits and bobs are landing on the door mat, ever exciting meetings are being had and our jobs are starting to wind down. This being said, it should give us more time to open up with you on the blog, with more details on the charities we are supporting, a comprehensive kit list of everything we are taking and some more detail of what's been going on behind the scenes.

If there is anything you would like us to cover or any questions you would like to ask, leave a comment below and we'll try our best to answer them.

So, what do ya think? Let me know your thoughts on my blogging, I need all the help I can get!

Ta,

George
